![]() Which is kind of stupid because I'm smarter than all of them combined - at least when it comes to MY workflow. I'm not so much dependent on what other people think - but what they think may cause me to doubt my own conclusions. They don't yet have an export that works, their editor is awful, their web-clipper doesn't really work and there's no Windows version - but they are really responsive in their forums and they are working on adding all these features soon." It would be like me saying "EN removed the import folder feature so I moved to New Product X which is like totally completely awesome. Then I realized the majority of the posts about "leaving Evernote" were from people leaving because there were 1 or 2 key features missing from v10 - but they were moving to new services lacking some of those same features, or even more. In the end I found Evernote superior to every product I tried (for the purposes of which I use EN). It certainly wouldn't justify the hassle of moving everything to a competitor and completely changing my workflow.īut reading the negative bullshit in this sub caused me to be hypercritical of Evernote and to start evaluating every competing product - all the while never actually being unhappy with Evernote. The only feature I'm missing is the upload folder, which I can live without - but would love to have it back. I am ( was) the same way as well.Įvernote works perfectly fine for me, including v10. This is not as uncommon as you might think. So yah, I’m digging the newest iterations and I’m excited for where we’re heading. I use Notion more for high level planning and visual things, but don’t see how I would replace Evernote anytime soon. Kinda pointless when I can just open it within Evernote, work, and leave, knowing my document has saved. For example, if you had an Excel file you worked in a lot, saving it to Notion means you have to download it, work on it, and reupload it each session. Notion is good and I use it too, but it’s a different beast. But now, with Home, tasks beta, new versions that are faster and new ways to export apparently coming, it’s still the best app for how I think and what I need. Yes, there were definitely some moments around the immediate release of v10 where I was like “oh god, this is bad”. It works fine for me and then I come on here and see everyone leaving and how people don’t like this or that, but for me, it works great. I realized I’m too dependent on what other people think, it’s just my nature. I’ve left a few times over the past couple of years but I always end up coming back.
